Deposit & Payment Policy

At IOLEC, we pride ourselves on delivering premium electrical services with complete transparency, professionalism, and client peace of mind. This policy ensures clarity around deposits, payments, and additional costs.

1. Booking & Deposit

  • To secure your booking and ensure materials are ordered in advance, a 40% deposit of the agreed quotation is required.

  • The deposit is deducted from the total project cost, so you never pay more than the agreed price for the agreed works.

  • Deposits confirm your job date and allocation of materials, protecting both your schedule and our resources.

2. Balance Payment

  • The remaining 60% balance is collected securely via GoCardless direct debit upon completion of the works.

  • This is a one-time collection only for the agreed balance. There are no ongoing access or recurring payments.

  • Receipts are issued for all transactions, ensuring full transparency.

3. Additional Works & Costs

  • The original quotation covers only the agreed scope of works.

  • Any additional work requested by the client during the job (e.g., extra circuits, fittings or upgrades) will be quoted and agreed in writing before being carried out.

  • Any incidental costs (e.g. parking, tolls, congestion fees) will be clearly itemised on the final invoice.

  • This ensures there are no surprises and clients always approve extras before payment.

4. Security & Transparency

  • All payments are processed via GoCardless, a fully regulated and trusted UK provider.

  • Client financial details are secure and protected under UK data protection regulations.

  • Our system ensures your deposit and balance are traceable, receipted, and fully documented.

5. Peace of Mind & Professional Standards

  • IOLEC is a professional, accredited electrical company, complying with all UK wiring regulations.

  • All works come with a [12-month] workmanship guarantee.

  • You will be kept fully informed throughout the project, including progress updates, any agreed extras, and final completion checks.

  • Payment is only collected once you are fully satisfied with the completed work.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • If a confirmed booking is cancelled less than 48 hours before the agreed start date, the deposit may be retained to cover material and scheduling costs.

  • Rescheduling can be arranged subject to availability and prior agreement.
